Raining Day Music

Los Angeles is the land of sunshine and perfect beaches. However, every now and then we get our share of of rain day cold or as I like to think of it, my favorite time of the year. I think the rain provides a well deserved dose of intimacy. Add the intimacy factor, we angeleones turn inward to rediscover the pleasure of soups, window seats wrapped in cashmere blankets, and soulful classical music. By the way, this afternoon I had the best soup ever at Soi 7 in downtown Los Angeles. The Tom Ka Goong soup consisted of lemongrass, mushrooms, curry, and shrimp. Dipping my shrimp in the broth was so so satisfying. The soup was good enough to cause misbehavior or to for go your table manners in favor of sipping the broth to the last drop. I didn’t do it, because I was in the company for a nice gentlemen friend. But if I was at home, well… Check out my selection of music after the jump. Here is what I like to listen to while sitting by the window in the rain:
1. Any music by composer Alexandre Desplast. He is the composer behind films like Birth.
2. Any music by composer Nino Rota. He is the composer behind films like La Dolce Vita.
For some soul check out:
1. Windmills of Your Mind by Dorothy Asby
2. Misdemeanor by Foster
3. Mur by Alva Noto & Ryuchi Sakamoto
4. Amarain by Amr Diab

i am usually scurrying on the net nearly all of the time so I have a tendency to browse a ton, which unfortunately isnt normally a beneficial thing as the largest part of the internet websites I find are composed of useless garbage copied from many other internet sites a zillion times, on the other hand I’ll hand it to ya this webpage is truely not bad at all and includes a lot of genuine content, so thanks for removing the phenomena of solely replicating other peoples’ blogs and forums….
