FOOD: AXE
Monday, 8 March 2010
This past weekend, I had the pleasure of dining at AXE. The restaurant name AXE is pronounced (ă • shay) and it is a salutation borrowed from Yoruba, where Nigeria is today. AXE means “go with the power of the Gods and Goddesses.”
Accompanied by a friend, we dined on braised brussels sprouts, shrimp and squid pancakes, and ginger ice cream. Yum. I can’t wait to go back.
AXE supports local farmers.
